Chalk painted and glazed kitchen cabinets.
Chalk paint is great no sanding necessary. I used Annie Sloan chalk paint and mixed it with a dark wood stain to achieve the barn red. Then I used the same wood stain with glaze. When I was wiping off the glaze some paint came off too. Which gave me more of an aged look that I wasn't originally going for but it looks great an I finished them off with Annie Sloan wax. (new floors also)

I think they look great, Ive been considering painting my cabinets but I think I will put polyurethane instead of wax on them..Im afraid of the durability of the wax over time

I agree after finishing the project and using polyurethane in other projects, I believe it to be more durable.
