Frugal Framed Art

I printed off free-use sailboat pictures from online and made them black and white on my computer...popped them in some $12 frames and they were ready to go! http://www.thehappierhomemaker.com/2012/07/...

Art on a budget....does your printer use archival inks?....I have seen some that fade after only year or two.

I printed it out with regular ink with the intent to change my artwork out seasonally. If I was going to keep it longer I probably would have printed it on photo paper through Walmart or someplace similar.

You can find Beautiful unique frames at the thrift stores and paint them all one color and for a dollar or two you have matching frames...I love the look of these but I also love it when the shapes and sizes are varied and the only similarity is the color of the frame... usually an 8X10 is 1.99 and 5x7 is 99 cents sometimes an "odd color" in the right size is 50 cents...LOL...

I agree Sharron, These two pictures flank a window on my stair landing so uniformity was necessary but I have a gallery wall in my living room that is exactly what you mentioned-spray painted thrifted frames in a variety of shapes and sizes!
