Chalkboard Stripe Dresser for Nursery

When I was furnishing my son's nursery, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on furniture because I figured he would likely need all new items in just a few years when he moves into a big boy room. I was feeling a bit tapped out with plain old painted furniture makeovers. A small tube of Martha Stewart Chalk paint added just the extra touch I was looking for!
After lightly sanding this simple, 5-drawer dresser, I painted on two coats of Valspar Dreamy Caramel. I used blue painters' tape to tape off a stripe on each drawer and then brushed on several coats of Martha Stewart Chalkboard Craft paint.
I've seen dresser drawers done with chalkboard paint before, but I'd never seen something done with a stripe. I love the playfulness the stripe adds to my son's nursery. I swapped out the hardware with nice white knobs from Lowe's. It was that simple!
Not only does the dresser look sweet, but it's also super functional. Anyone who comes over can help put away his laundry without me telling them exactly where to put it!
