I've been hunting for outdoor pillows with no luck...so I've decided to make my own out of outdoor fabric.

But I have no clue what to use for the pillow forms! Any suggestions on creative ways to make outdoor pillows??

It is a good idea to make them yourself, but you might end up spending a lot more money. The shape of the pillows may depend on the type of outdoor furniture you have, they need to fit in properly with the form of the furniture itself. Here is a place you get inspiration on patterns and colors - http://www.buygreen.com/leafcollectionecoart...

    Traci,

If you are still interested in buying as opposed to making, try hayneedle out... http://search.hayneedle.com/search/index.cfm...

Oh great I get to share my idea. I used a vinyl table cloth made it into the shape I wanted and filled with the shipping peanuts. Works great.

I bought mine at Carolina Pottery in Smithfield, NC for $7.50 each normally $20.00 each and I love them. They are thick but dry in no time which is why I didn't make them.

Barbara, I never thought of the shipping peanuts for filler! I may try that! Rose, I found a pattern I love at Carolina Pottery in Cary, but of course they didnt have the matching pillows! I found a stripe that may work though... Having a luau next weekend, so it's crunch time! Thanks for the tips!

Any outdoor fabric will work. The fabric store has fabric used for patio chair cushions. You may also use outdoor napkins as the fabric for your pillows.

Thanks for the suggestions! What would you use for the pillow form or filler? Barbara mentioned shipping peanuts. I found some stripe ones at Carolina Pottery, but I also want to make a long/lumbar pillow for my benches.
