French Cedar Blanket Chest

I took a vintage cedar chest and gave it new life with french blue paint and gold accents. Oooh la la!
Here is the before pic. The piece was in excellent condition with minor scratches along the top.
Here it is now. I used a custom mix of chalk paint (Annie Sloan Provence/Old White and Louis Blue) and the AS clear wax. I also used Maison Blanche dark wax.
The inside of the chest is in pristine condition and emits that great cedar smell.
The gold (Martha Stewart's Metallic Paint in Vintage Gold) really highlights the details of the piece. So does the light distressing.
The legs are just beautiful. This is such a stunning piece for the bedroom or hall!
