The original idea was to create an arbor of white tea roses for my entry way but my husband said it takes too long to grow them so i just stuck a branch from the other tree inside shading my swing

I have roses on my arbor and it has taken three years to reach the top.I planted clematis along with them because I am also impatient.

If I could make my bougainvillea plant look like yours I would be happy to clean up after it. It is so lovely.

Cathy, you're complaining because your bougonvilla drops its spent blooms in your yard? I don't think the rest of us would mind having your problem at all!! It's a gorgeous climbing vine/plant - that's what flowers do!! Relax and enjoy it!

I have a majestic cottonwood tree in my front yard a really spectacular tree, but we have a love hate relationship. It is of the cottonless variety so I only hate it two months of the year. October and November translate to weekly trips to yard waste dump with pickup loads of leaves, which drizzle for 6 to 10 weeks, depending on the way that Autumn falls.

I have one in a big pot on top of a tree stump. I love the 'trash' it drops on the ground. I like your arbor. What is it made of?

What a lovely Bouginvilla! I miss them over the spa/deck when I lived in So-Cal. The leaves falling didn't bother me, just swept them off the deck.

Lori J, I had to have my Cottonwood cut down because I am alergic to them so my boganvilla is in a large pot on top of the stump. Perfect spot for it to drape down and cover the trunk.
