I have white tile in my kitchen and down stairs bathroom. I HATE it (it's so hard to keep clean), is there anything I can get to paint or stain it that wont come off when I mop it?
Yes, you can paint tile. I personally think it's difficult to make it look nice, but I also really like Sherwin-Williams products, and they offer this advice:
By what I read they don't recommend painting floor tile in the kitchen or bath because both get wet often. Any kitchen floor no mater what color it is gets dirty quickly. Though darker colors don't show dirt as much, it would still be there and still need cleaning.

rather see dirt to know when to clean than to have a dirty floor that didn't look dirty.
Becky, I'm with you! I'd rather see my dirt and address it promptly, than leave it to generate odors and germs. We have a very light almond floor tile w/grey-brown grout. Erica, once you get your tile and grout super clean, sealing the grout might help with this issue.
Mine was old and tired looking. I primed and painted it, then put seven coats of poliurathan over the paint. I also used paint pens to draw the squares back onto the painted floor. It lasted several years until I could afford to replace the flooring. Pretty inexpensive new floor.
