DIY Fall Boxwood Wreath

I needed a new wreath for fall, but I didn't want to spend any money. After doing some research on Pinterest I decided to go with what I had on hand...a grapevine wreath form and make it work. I just happened to have lots of boxwood bushes in my yard and thought it might be easy to make a wreath using those. I was right! It couldn't be easier and I'm really happy with the outcome. Everything on the wreath, except for the boxwood, is either wired or tied on. This means I can easily swap out the decorations with the seasons.
To decorate my DIY boxwood wreath, I used an owl trivet I had on hand and some wood pieces from Michaels that I purchased last year.

This wreath couldn't be any easier! I can envision the same thing, but using pine boughs for Christmas.

I attached the boxwood cutting from the yard by hot gluing the ends of the stems and sticking them into the wreath. So easy!

This is my owl trivet I purchased at an estate sale. I sprayed it with a few coats of gold paint and attached it to a curvy piece of wood to add some sparkle and interest to the boxwood wreath.

I love how the trivet looks with a nice coat of gold spray paint!
