7' foot ceilings can pose a lot of design challenges....I'm 6' tall so these spaces always seem cramped to me...my sweetie however is much shorter and she never feels that way. The Colors add some nice POP. -
Perfect shape for your room Danielle. I love it! Brilliant design. I too love the color combo. -
Thank you! I'm tall as well, but the height challenge is offset by the fact that I can paint anything in the house in my barefeet. -
You've done a great job of playing patterns/solids and complimentary blue/greens. The headboard is a lovely shape and accomplishes your goal of adding height to the room.....an inviting design. -
looks great! I'm about to order that fabric for my patio! -
Hi Danielle. How did you attach the headboard on the wall??? I need to re-do my guest bedroom and just got inspired by your post. Second question: where did you get the nailheads and how did you apply them? Thank you :) -
Hi Monica! I usually screw a spare piece of mdf to the wall with drywall screws, about 3' long. It helps distribute the weight. In this case I had to use a 2x4 because of the window depth. Then I use 2, 100lb picture hangers on the board. I use 2, 100lb "D" rings on the back of the headboard and hang it like a picture frame. If there is room at the bottom to push it in, I add another small block at the bottom center to the wall for extra stability. It's as easy as hanging a mirror! -
Love this headboard!!!
