Before........ Rattan was white and then had it stained a brown with light highlights. Thanks to Saturday's for an awesome job with the re upholstery and cornices. Thanks Guy and troy Pleasure working with both of you.

Wow Alice! This is my kind of make over. Not that I don't like white wicker, but there's something richer looking about a nicely dark stain on it that makes me happy. Love the leafy fabric too! Just gorgeous.

I like the before colors better then the after, it looked so sunny and cheerie and beach cottage colors (I love shades of aqua...next to purples)...

Hi Valerie When I moved to Florida 4 years ago I thought most colors were pastels, and this set is almost 22 years old So I decided to go darker. Long gone are pastels in Florida and most areas. I have been a designer for almost 18 years and in my years decorating I have come across so many trends,

Hi Alice! I know thinhs change, esp styles. I love designing home plans and decor. For myself though I cannot afford to keep up with the ever changing trends. and in many cases do not care to, as I have my own tastes, I have lived in homes that did not have enough natural light via windows so love the lighter shades, and do not care for the darker shades. I hope I did not offend you in expressing my own personal prefferences.

No offense taken Valerie. I love pastels myself and had them up north for years but as anything else, it was time for a change. I don't plan on changing this anymore lol At my age I'll live with it now lol

My mom lives in Florida now Alice and I'm afraid she has taken her NY apartment style with her :S I'm sure she'll never change it though. I swear her apartment in Florida is identical to her old apartment except for where the rooms are situated. They too are all Pastel colors.
