DIY Fire pit and cover

First we made the fire pit and the pea gravel area, then I cut a large circle from a piece of plywood and created a cover for the fire pit. Now it's a table when the pit's not being used.

Great way to make that a multi-purpose space.

I desperately want a fire pit - but not the ugly ones at the store! This is fabulous - need to make one - and love that it doubles as a cute little table when not making s'mores!

What a great idea, I was thinking of building a cement block base that would hold my storebought fire pit, Iv'e been putting it off cause of the rain I didnt want to rot out the bottom. You solved my problem. Thanks for the double great idea
