How I Made Pumpkins Out of Drop Cloth and Twine

There's a tutorial on how I made these cute pumpkins from drop cloth fabric and twine on my blog.
I used a pattern I made out of a manilla folder to make these pumpkins. These are made from a drop cloth, but they could be made from any fabric you choose.
The edges are sewn together piece by piece to create the pumpkin.
I left a small opening on one end of each seam so that I could stuff polyfil into the pumpkin.
Then I used twine and a large needle to create the sections on the pumpkin.
I curled the remaining piece of twine and hot glued a cinnamon stick and faux pumpkin leaf into the small opening at the top of the pumpkin.

Great pumpkins! How did you get the twine to stay stiff enough to curl and STAY curled? Mine won’t do that. How did you close up the bottom so it would be neat? Thanks!

I don’t understand how you sewed them together. Do you have a diagram or more pictures? It looks like you used 6 pieces then sewed 2 together then you have 3 pieces. Do you stuff the 3 pieces? I really like the way these look and am thinking about making them for table decorations for my son’s fall wedding. Thank you
