Toolbox turned nightstand

I picked up this old wooden toolbox at a yard sale for 5$.
I wasn't sure what I'd do with it ,but after giving it some thought, decided it would make a perfect nightstand for a child.
The top opens up to hide toys and prized possessions and the drop down front is perfect for storing books!
Check out the before and after.

Tool box before. A perfect hideaway for books and great storage.
I believe the color was "battleship gray." Lots of gray here since Newport is a Navy town!
The red, white and blue with zip code monogram will work perfectly in the map bedroom I'm putting together! I can't wait to reveal it finished next week!

Wow, what a deal. I'm always looking for cool and unique stuff like this to use around my house. I rarely get lucky though :(. Anyway, just popped over to your blog. Great work! Love the transformation :)
