Pantry renovation

The bathroom off my kitchen seemed like a fine idea when we built it. Originally it housed our laundry, a toilet and a sink. But over time, as the laundry started to creep into the kitchen, we moved the washer and dryer to the back hall.

In its place I installed some ready made cabinets for extra storage. But between my guests always wondering why I was coming out of the bathroom with their wine glasses and the kids using the bathroom while we were eating dinner at the island, we realized this wasn't the right spot for a half bath either.

So the pantry was born. I didn't know storage could make me so happy!

The radiator still gives off plenty of heat yet the items above it stay cool.

Stainless countertops were practical and affordable. The carpenter made them from 3/4"mdf and the sheet metal company wrapped them for me.

That worked out very well, and you should enjoy having a major convenience of a full pantry.

Wow that looks great Danielle. Being obsessive about storage myself I can completely understand your new space making you so happy.

OH, I WANT ONE TOO! I absolutely love this. I love the layout, the different size storage spaces, the counter...actually, I love everything about this space! And you were wise to re-purpose this space because a toilet off the kitchen just does not work!
