Introducing the Kenzie Set {Before & After} Blue Painted Dresser Set

I want to introduce you to the Kenzie set. This set is actually my friends set and she wanted to restore it for her daughter. We wanted to go with something bright and "childish" but still beautiful!
We sanded down just enough to get take off a few of the dings. Since we were planning to antique the set, having a few nicks and dings in the finish wasn't a big deal. Then we used Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Paint mixed with Vintage Storehouse Chalky Paint Powder to create a Chalk-Style Paint so we could get a really pretty smooth finish & we wouldn't have to prime it!
We used two colors: Larchmere & Refresh (Both by Sherwin Williams). We painted the small nightstand with the darker Larchmere and then painted the existing knobs with Refresh. Then we did the opposite for the tall dresser.
Last, we antiqued the set with Vintage Storehouse Antiquing Powder in "Wrougt Iron" and sealed it with Fiddes Wax. It toned down the colors a little bit to make them more muted and it made all the small dings and gouges pop, giving it a slightly aged look.
