DIY // The Bench Makeover

$50
3 Hours
Medium
I had planed on making a bench from scratch, but I just hadn't gotten to it yet. Until, last weekend where I was spared to build the bench from scratch by finding one at my local goodwill.
I found this little bench/ottoman at goodwill, it was perfect for what I wanted to use it for.

I spend about 2 hours just taking out staples. OUCH!!!

Once I took the entire fabric off, I realized that I looked pretty good underneath and I was able to use the foam and batting.

Fitting the new fabric, which I got at Joann's with a 50% discount code.

Attaching fabric covered buttons was next!

Securing the fabric with staples.

Find out how I finished the legs on my blog! Thanks for sharing.

Great find! I love benches. You can slide them under an entrance table and then pull them into the main area when an extra seat is needed! We gave a huge bench to Goodwill last year...son picked it up somewhere from a curb. But it was just too large for what I would have used...about 40% larger than this one...I mean huge! I would love one this size for the foot of my bed!
