Houseplants add Life to your home.

Houseplants are a great way to bring spring indoors all year around. Many cringe at the thought of maintaining houseplants after several failed attempts. Do not give up! We are not quitters. Before going to the nursery to choose the perfect plant for your home, make the ultimate decision. Get your mind right. Decide the next plants you bring in your home you are going to be successful and responsible for its growth – hence, the power of the "GREEN" thumb. When you pick up a baby, you hold the baby with the best intentions and the baby can feel the good energy you exude. Same as having the "GREEN" thumb, it's the energy and goodness in your fingers, when you choose the plant, when you pick it up, when you repot it, when you place it in its new home, every time you water and mist–spray it, and touch the leaves occasionally. Plants are living just as you are so pass on the life. Now you have the power of the "GREEN" thumb. Think happy thoughts of life for your plant not thoughts that you have a brown thumb and are going to kill it. I promise this will work! Now aside of having the "power" of the "GREEN" thumb, it is important not to over water or underwater the plants.

A typical rule of thumb is your plants need water once a week and a light misting two-three times a week and rotate the plant every ...»

other time you water. Check the growing label for the plant before you choose to make sure you are choosing the right plant based on light needed for optimal plant growth. Not only are house plants great for color and an addition of life in the home, indoor plants acts as a filter for invisible chemical compounds otherwise known as carbon dioxide and volatile organic compounds (VOC's) found in your home and purifies the air you breathe.

Houseplants also need to breathe. Increase oxygen for your plants, promote faster growth, and more beautiful blooms, here is a Quick tip: you need two ingredients found in every home - Water and Hydrogen Peroxide. Mix 2 Tblsp. of Hydrogen Peroxide and 1 Qt. of water in a spray bottle. Mist the leaves bi-weekly, there will be a little left but enough to pour the remaining concoction in the soil of your plants.

I have decorative "Angel Plants" and Kolanchoe. The Angels are like a variegated and long leaved version of spider plants and can sit alone on an elevated stand or hang from a ceiling in a hanger.Nice petite lavender flowers... Kolanchoes have delicate red blooms and shiny green leaves and both like some direct but mostly obscure lighting. Great for decorating and both are easy maintenance...little love and water! Good Luck with the sale. Hope this was helpful!
