Dining Room Update

We are in the process of updating our dining room. This has involved replacing the light fixture, chair rail, and baseboards, and lots and lots of paint. We aren't finished yet, but we're making good progress!
We started with a very outdated room. Our first step was to replace the light fixture.

We then moved on to the walls. It turned out that the painters had just painted over wallpaper, so we removed it completely and then painted.
We replaced the chair rail and baseboard with wider, cleaner pieces. We painted stripes that were a couple of shades lighter from the same paint family as the base color. I wanted something dramatic on the bottom and went dark. It was scary at first, but I love seeing what our dining room is becoming.
