Soccer / Football Pitch Notice Board

I like to repurpose/upcycle and had this old pin board/notice board in and decided to make it into a soccer/football pitch themed pin board for my son
One old, battered pin board!
I covered the board in green felt (I used double sided tape for this) and trimmed the edges. I also painted the board frame in white paint.
Board laid face down on felt (to be trimmed)
Once the felt had been trimmed I slotted the now green board back into the now dry painted white frame

I found some drawing pins and superglued on half football embellishments purchased from a well known online auction site. (Note - there are 5 pins in this pic...only 3 by the end as I got in a bit of a mess with the superglue!)

I bought a white pen that worked on fabric and created the soccer/football pitch markings which please note ARE NOT TO SCALE! At this point I kind of wished I had decided on a tennis court as all the lines are straight!) but I persevered and I am chuffed with the result. Hope my son is too. Will find out on Christmas Day!
I loved doing this - simple (apart from the circles) but idea could be adapted to tennis / badminton / Amercican Football and so on.
