How can I "re-black" my Magnalite pan?

Found a small handled pan at a thrift store that is the brand Magnalite. I have a ton of this cookware and I love it. The problem is that this piece appears to have been sanded outside to remove its "black".
What's the best way to "re-black" the pan? One photo shows the found pan on the left and one of my pristine pots on the right. Help!

Hummm??? I think you are going to have to contact the manufacturer on this one. Maybe they refurbish them for people!

I'm with Jeanette. You should contact the manufacturer. Dealing with food, you want to make sure it's something food safe.

Unfortunately, the company went out of business (or was bought by someone and the pans have come to end of life). They are similar to Calphalon and some others, although Magnalite was the grandfather (and is the best of the best).

Magnalite is being sold again. It is said to have a 50 year warranty. Maybe they will honor it. Magnalite used an anodization process, probably with a proprietary dye. I'm still researching this.

It is possible that this is not supposed to be black. I have a Magnalite set from 1974 that is silver/aluminum
