Sweet tiny visitor.

As you can see by some of my post...I like animals. I enjoy everyone's posts of animals who visit our homes. Except the snakes! We've have 24 snake visits in 7 years, Eek!
The one in the bottom is not a rock!
The smallest horned toad I have ever seen. He was under an inch from tip of his nose to tip of his tail. Read more about them here. http://www.arizona-leisure.com/horned-toad.html

Sharron, blue racer lizards? I've never seen one of those either. I love to see preying mantis, but haven't seen any in my yard for years. Lucky you!!

I have found that if I have a snake in my yard, I have no gophers making mounds or holes in my yard. Have brought in multiple NON venomous snakes to put in my yard and they eradicated the gophers, As soon as they leave, the gophers come back. Now I have a gopher hunting Doxxy and she has trenched my back yard in her quest. Oh for another snake!!! I have never had one of those trench my yard and have only seen one of them once after releasing them in the yard. So appreciate your snakes, they wouldn't be there if there wasn't something to eat!
