Before & After: A $210 Guest Bathroom Refresh

$210

When we moved into our house, the guest bath had a low-grade, brown vanity and a blueish/greyish/brownish linoleum floor. It needed a facelift, so we gave it one... for under $225!
This is what our vanity corner looked like when we moved in.
We didn't like it, so we painted it with a grey paint sample that cost $3. We also put up bead board wallpaper which made a huge difference on the bathroom.
This is what the behind-the-toilet area looked like before we worked some budget magic.
This is what it looks like now. We painted the walls a sea foam green, and found this perfectly good cabinet on the curb that we snatched up for free! We bought another paint sample for $3 and painted grey/white stripes in the background to add some interest. We splurged on knobs from Anthropologie, and bought some inexpensive storage jars to put on the open shelf.
Onto the floor. Here's a close up of what it used to look like.
We chose to replace the old linoleum with a crisp, white tile. We were okay with white tiles and white grout because we knew the guest bathroom wouldn't get much traffic (especially shoes-on traffic!)
There you have it. The whole thing: Before
And after!

What kind of paint did you use on the vanity? Room turned out great! Thank you

Love it looks so bright and fresh. Does your mirror just lean against the wall?

It would look great on the wall with a frame around it to match the Window frame, and a new light fixture would really add a lot too..

Really nice transformation! I love that you even replaced the floor vent cover to update the look and blend with your new tile. Great job!

Loved that you even noticed that detail. We just moved this year and the first trip to the hardware store was to buy all new toilet seats and fresh white plastic floor vents to replace the rusty ones!
