Room Makeover for Under $200

My daughter's bedroom was in need of cleaning out and cleaning up-so we de-cluttered and gave the room a total face lift.
Her room has a lot of doors and windows so her queen bed was taking up a lot of her floor space.
We made her a smaller day bed that can be a cozy reading sofa as well as her bed. She has a lot more floor space to play too.
The built-in desk is a great addition to her room but it had become a dumping ground for her stuff.
We de-cluttered the desk area and used baskets to store her items. I painted a chalkboard at the bottom so she can write her favorite verses.
This area was just a mess. No real design happening in this space.
I painted the walls a light blue color and whitewashed her dresser. It's now clean and simply decorated.

It is a beautiful room. Loving the changes you have made. I am also sure your daughter loves it as well.

Very nice room...is she in karate? Karate is one of the best things we did for our girls...it taught them so much more than just the "fighting skills"
