Refinished Stairway

This little reno took a long time. Spread over several months, one project at a time, it wasn't too bad. Wall color is SW Upward. #Bestof2012 #ProudestDIY

    We are in the process of painting our stairs. Like you, we had the carpet on the stairs with oak stain on the sides and banister. Did you paint your stairs or stain them darker? We haven't painted the stained part yet and we are trying to decide if we should paint the stained part to match the painted steps. I think we should but it would be a lot more work. Your pictures look great. What a transformation! Great job and hard work!
