I keep a squeegee in my shower and squeegee off the whole shower, walls, doors and floor, after every shower. When they need a little pick me up, or after I was sick one whole summer and didn't have the strength to do daily cleaning, I used a Magic Eraser Sponge. Works great at getting built up soap scum off the doors, floors and walls.

I agree @Z , We use a squeegee every time. It keeps the doors and the shower spotless.

We have a 4x7 steam shower and treated the glass about a year ago with Rain-X. We haven't had to clean it since.
  • @Ann, If you are trying to clean off soap scum The Groutsmith makes a great alkaline based product that easy removes organic based residue. Mix it in a sprayer, spray in on let it sit for about a minute, lightly scrub with a scotch pad and rinse. You can order it on line from their web site. If you are dealing with hard water mineral deposits that one is a little tougher. I have found the best results with a product called Awesome. The smell of the surfactant can be a little overwhelming so use in a well ventilated area or take frequent breaks. I have also heard that Mr. Clean magic eraser works but have not tried it. Once you get all the residue off use Rain-X a couple of times a year to help keep the glass and frame clean and shinny. Good Luck!
