Here's the Waterfall of our Swim Pond. It is built like a pond but has a pool filtration system.

Not only is it beautiful, the sound of the waterfall is so relaxing it dissolves all stresses from the work week.

Very pretty. This brings up a wealth of questions. You say "swim pond". Do you swim in it? Is it stocked w/fish? Pool pump: I always thought some ponds were big enough to swim in, so why not use a pool pump, except I didn't feel it'd filter well enough for biological balance for live fish. So, tell me all about this.

Becky H, I'll sorta bet that it doesn't have fish because pool and pond filtration are very different. I think it is the sights & sounds that everyone loves even without fish.

Thats so awesome! I love seeing people who actually get it and are enjoying the lifestyle. I cant imagine a life without a water feature!

A fish pond that you can swim in..... How cool is that?

Acorn, there are a lot of creatures in a fish pond that I wouldn't want to swim with. The closest I get to swimming in the pond is going into the pond with waterproof waders.

It is my favorite place to be. We do not have fish but frog, crayfish and snakes have found it to be a nice habitat as well.
