Chinese Lanterns

I have an abundance of Chinese Lanterns (they seem to multiply like crazy!) in my garden. Any tips on how these may be dried/preserved to be used in Fall arrangements? Thank you!

You should be able to dry them by cutting low on the stem and hanging them upside down in a dry place. https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2090/2214536316_198eacc2c9.jpg

@You're very welcome Barbara. Please take pictures so you can share the process and how it works out for you here on Hometalk. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to see. I've dried roses and other flowers in the past before by hanging them upside down and it's worked quite well.

There are nightmare stories about the invasive qualities of Chinese lantern (Physalis alkekengi). You may want to try to get it under control while you can.
    • Thanks so much for your response, too. I completely agree with you as I have made a meager attempt in the past. My plan is to reduce number of plants by at least 3/4s in the next few days.
