These photos are of a project Slaughterbeck Floors, Inc. did in a 100 year old home on the San Francisco Peninsula. Our craftsmen spent 2 weeks restoring the floor to its original beauty, and the clients are thrilled with the result!
The unrestored hardwood floor before we began restoring it.
We had to remove several layers of material to get to the Douglas Fir flooring beneath. This included glue, linoleum, paint, stain, nails and staples, and lots of dirt.

There was a neat trapdoor in the flooring as well.

Ta-da! The completed hardwood floor's trapdoor after restoration.
The hardwood floor came out beautifully once we were finished
