Pretty Perennial That Blooms in the Fall

Begonia grandis blooms in late summer and well into the fall before dying back to the ground for the winter.
The foliage is particularly beautiful with heart-shaped leaves and pinkish red veining. The underside is very red and has a more prominent veining.
The flowers are a delicate pink and may also come in a white variety. Delicate blooms that turn into interesting seed pods.
You can even bring this one inside over the winter like a houseplant.
Be patient in the spring as this perennial doesn't show itself until late spring though it seems to come back with a vigor every year, even after the polar vortex.
