Fall Decor: Tin Can Pumpkins

How to recycle those tin pet food cans into darling pumpkins!
If you have a pet, they may eat wet pet food.
I add a little bit to my pup's dry food just to give it a little extra something.
Clean and dry the cans
I like to wash and dry the cans and have been pondering what I can make with them. Since Halloween is next month, I thought Tin Can Pumpkins would be a great idea. Supplies: Small tin cans, orange spray paint (I used Design Master in Orange), a Crop-o-Dile or large hole punch, a 1 1/2 inch round circle punch, orange scrapbook paper, a pumpkin paper punch (I used one from Martha Stewart– you could also just hand draw pumpkin faces), black vinyl, glue dots and green twine (mine is Recollections from Michaels).
Punch holes in the cans
Step 1: Step 1: Clean and dry the cans and punch two holes in them, about an inch apart. A Crop-o-Dile works well for this but a large hole punch would also do the trick.
Painting the cans
Step 2: Spray paint the cans orange
Using my trusty circle punch
Step 3: Use a the circle punch to make the round pumpkin shape
One idea is to punch a face out of vinyl
Step 4: Use the Martha Stewart Pumpkin Punch to make the face or just draw the face on the orange circle.
Or you could draw on a jack-o-lantern face
Step 5; If using the punch and vinyl, apply the vinyl and use Glue Dots to add the face to the tin can.
Step 6: Cut a piece of green twine and loop through the holes, tying inside the can.
Tie the pumpkins on a small tree branch
Hang your pumpkins on a tree branch. I happened to have a wire tree that I painted brown, but a small tree branch would be perfect for this.
Happy Halloween!
Hope you have a SPOOKTACULAR time decorating for Halloween

I buy Meow Mix wet food and it already comes in orange plastic cups.....use an awl or large two prong fork to puncture holes for the hanging string. Paint the faces right on the cup and you're good to go!
