Create Faux Inlayed Wood Appearance With Stencils and Stain Resist

I used stencils and two Minwax wood products to quickly and easily decorate this wood plate. It kind of looks like inlayed wood, doesn't it?
This takes minutes to do, using just stencils and stain!
I used the technique on smaller objects, like these wood Scrabble tile pendants, but I think it would look great on larger pieces, too.
