Yes, You Can: Heating a Home With 240 Recycled Cans

Think you're looking at a pile of cans ready to be recycled? Well, you are, but they may not be going to the recycling plant. Instead they're being used to generate solar power, and a fairly good amount of it!
The folks at Cansolair created this unit, known as the Solar Max 240, capable of generating almost 10,000 BTU or 2600+ watts of energy.
Here you can see a better image, showing the complete unit. The manufacturer claims it can heat a 1,000 sq. ft. home, changing the air completely in 1.5 hours. It works by drawing colder air in from near the floor and pushing warm air through a vent somewhere near the ceiling.

Has anyone had first person experience of this tin can heater working? I'd love to try it but my husband says it would never put out enough btu's to heat anything...? Please answer this so I can show him that it really does work.
