I have light colored pine ikea cupboards. I don't like them at all

No matter how much you clean them they always look dirty. I want to paint them. Has anyone ever painted ikea cupboards? Is it possible? Any tips would be great. TY

As long as you clean them really well, sand lightly, then prime them, you should be able to paint whatever color you want. Change the hardware and you'll have a whole new look.

I just read about milk paint for kitchen cabinets..no sanding or priming...I'm gonna give it a try.
