Cook top cleaning

I cannot keep my cooktop clean - Any ideas?

  • a paste with baking soda and peroxide or even just baking soda. baking soda is a great scouring substance which will not harm your cooktop. Plus after you get it all clean there is a product at the home stores for protecting your cooktop (it is a silicone base i think) and from what I have been told really helps clean up. I have not tried it because I just spray mine down after I cook and if the boys burn on food I just use baking soda to scrub a bit.

    If you are looking for a good product to help you clean…I highly recommend "Greased Lightening" that stuff is amazing. I don't know how to prevent spills and such that occur to keep the cooktop clean…I just used the GL to clean when it needs a good scrub.

    I use a paint scraper on the baked on stuff, gently, then bar keepers friend, comes out like new.
