This is my favorite room, and quite a labor of love. Lots of slate, infloor heating, and a few things I hadn't planned on, but it all came together :)
new vanity with slate column legs and black glass top
infloor heating the second you step out of the shower :)
styrotiles over green board make the perfect ceiling in a shower! b
I spend a lot of time contemplating the world on this little bench :)
the most wonderful shower head! :)
inside the shower...this was right after i sealed the slate for the first time (it takes three) so the colors really popped!
sliding doors save so much space!
BEFORE: this shower was 8'x6', 4" of concrete poured right onto the hardwood floor. It was so rotted, that we almost fell to the basement. This shower alone makes up my new shower and toilet area.
later on, i added a black glass tiled topper to the column.
I so love this faucet!!
new tub - an ebay find for 300 bucks delivered :D
this was once the doorway to the old huge bathroom...my tub faucet was originally going to be mounted in this alcove, but the tub came with handles (not planned!) so I had to build a column at the end of the tub, and this became art!
the shower wall is slate to the ceiling, the others are half way up with glass tile above.
I found two old glass blocks 12x12 at a surplus store here and decided to install them inside the shower for a little extra light.
styrotiles are great for wet areas! I found the grasscloth at the habitat store for a buck a roll :D Put a sliding door on the room where the shower and toilet are.
demo of the wall under the windows - insulation was added. this was the beginning of a long list of tasks to completion. SIGH
the small bedroom that became the first part of my master bathroom.
