Dollar Store Pumpkin Makeover

I love to use dollar store craft pumpkins in my fall and Halloween crafts. I have many Halloween themed pumpkins that I put out every year. This year I decided to also make a pumpkin that could be used from the beginning of fall all the way to Thanksgiving.
The craft pumpkins are a bright orange, To make the color my subtle, I painted on a couple of coats of bronze acrylic paint.
The dollar store pumpkins are carvable, so I cut out the stem leaving a small hole in the top of the pumpkin.
I used Sunflowers and bronze mums in my bouquet. I found these at the dollar stores as well. I separated each of the flowers buy cutting each of the flower stems with a wire cutter. I chose 3-4 sunflowers, and 2 of the mums. You do not need a lot of flowers because the pumpkin in on the small side. I secured my bouquet with a little bit of floral tape before placing them in the pumpkin.
I made a bow from some of the fall themed dollar store ribbon, and added it in to the bouquet with a tiny bit of wire. I found this small scarecrow in my craft stash, and decided to add it to the pumpkin as well. The scarecrow is easily removable if I decide to put this pumpkin on my Thanksgiving table.
