Painted Kitchen Cabinets and Beadboard

Creative Order
by Creative Order
Our kitchen was way too dark with red walls, wood cabinets, and wood flooring. So we decided to break it up and update the look by painting the cabinets white and adding white beadboard to the eat in part of the kitchen. Take a look at what a transformation some paint and a few other inexpensive additions can make.

The pony wall between the family room and kitchen gets a lot of wear and was in desperate need of an update.
So we added beadboard to it and the entire surrounding area.
We continued it and replaced the old dated wooden paneling that originally surrounded the kitchen peninsula.
We painted the remaining cabinets the same white and added new fabric to the cornices above the windows.
We also took down the lonely cabinet to the left of the sink and replaced it with three floating shelves.
The newly white cabinets look so much brighter. They also make me want new appliances, counter and backsplash--One day! :)
Here is a view of the pony wall and eat in area with crisp white beadboard as well as my new table my dad built. Love how the white really opens up the space!
