Nena Lynn on Sep 28, 2014I don't know of any spray paint that will work on kitchen counters. Rustoleum does make a product to 'paint' counter tops but it is painted on by hand and based on reviews of that product I wouldn't use it. There are several products on the market to refinish counter tops, and all require a lot of taping, plastic tarps, painting, sanding, and finishing. It is a LOT of work. I'm in the same situation, but have pretty much decided to just live with my lovely green laminate counter tops while I save up for something new.Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Sep 29, 2014First off I do not suggest that you paint counters. But if you decide to do this, consider this a temporary solution until you can purchase new. In any case, there are several counter paint kits available that you can use. None of them are spray type. All roller and brush. Spray paints are to thin to work properly. As with any painting project there is a bit of work involved to do it correctly. With counters you must follow the directions carefully and do not rush the cleaning and prep process or the surface will fail. In fact almost all painting projects fail because people try to cut corners and do it faster. Take your time, clean everything well, and have fun doing it. You can spend hours prepping the tops, or only a few then hours fixing the issues as a result of not doing it right to start with. Be sure to take photos and brag about the great job you did to everyone here! If you search painting counters you will find all sorts of examples of jobs done well.Helpful Reply
