Awesome Steve! Thanks for posting them. I did happen to drive by an auto upholstery shop on my way to a restaurant to meet a friend that I didn't know was there. I'm going to have to check prices on having my chairs reupholstered there like you suggested on your other thread.

The upholsterer made the bottom cushions a little thicker, and added a thin foam to the back. Apparently, the back had Styrofoam and was dented and dinged from their previous life. Overall pretty comfortable, but still not designed for marathon TV watching.

Steve, I am interested in what you said about an auto upholstery place doing the job. Does this mean they will do any furniture or just chairs etc like yours in vinyl? Specifically, upholstery fabric on recliners? Yours look great!

They guys I have used, do pretty much anything, leather, vinyl, cloth. They do a lot of furniture for casinos and are well versed in all styles.
    • These were done by the same guys, in a gray tweed.
