DIY Fall Wreath

Easy to Make Fall Wreath
I’m doing my darndest to stay one step ahead of Fall with my decorating. For those of you who didn’t hear, I started school full time and wow is it an eye opener. I attend 4 days a weeks plus try to keep up this blog, cook, clean, do laundry, and everything in between. I need to clone myself somehow and I’m sure that’s how several of you feel. I have a blog calendar going with things that need to be made, photographed, and just general ideas. Never in my life would I have thought I had to schedule my time around homework and brownie baking. And here’s a little spoiler alert: I have also started a new blog with 4 friends that will be launching soon. I must be crazy right?
Here is the second thing I accomplished in my Fall decorating process; a new wreath for the front door I actually made 2 one for the side entrance too, and they are exactly the same, I had no time to have a new creative idea for both wreaths. So twins they are :) If you remember I wanted to incorporate some turquoise into this years fall decor so I added a little burlap ribbon in turquoise to the grapevine wreath. I am reusing the same wreaths from last year and they already had the orange sunflower and some greenery attached so I just added the few new things I picked up. I stopped at Hobby Lobby for the burlap and yellow stem of flowers and hit the Dollar Store for the cream ones.
For under $10 I recycled last years wreaths into something different for this year. They take up so much storage room so anytime I can reinvent them means less stuff stacking up in the basement. It’s amazing how fast decor items can overtake a space. I’ve also been working on getting the rest of my doors painted. Remember I was going to paint one a day until it was done. Well that never happened, but I am halfway done now. Painting for me isn’t enjoyable so I have to do it when the mood strikes me. I know I will have them all done before the weather gets bad because I have too, but some days painting just doesn’t sound appealing to me whatsoever.

I did reward myself and took time out of my busy schedule to watch a high school football game. It’s just not the same when my kids are no longer on the field, but it did take my mind off things for a few hours.
