High alcove in cathedral ceiling

I have a two story house and the living room has high ceilings with a very high, big alcove that is problematic to reach, clean, etc. I want to decorate it for fall but I don't know how.

A photo would help, but my guess is you're going to need a tall ladder. From there, I'd suggest checking Pinterest for visual ideas.

My living room alcove is high and sort of weird... This is how it looks right now. I just finished that paper cone wreath for fall.
