What a cute idea, though I think I would have reversed the hinges so the houses would have shown behind the books. But then I love the look of cute houses like on the screen. -
Me too it would have been so cute if the houses showed....LOL -
I understand what you (Becky and Sharron) are saying, but the books would have concealed the craftmanship/art. I would think this could be used more as a room dividing bookcase to enjoy the houses. -
I thought of that too Becky H, but it looks as though it's against a window. It wouldn't have bothered me with the books in front of the houses, but then again, I'm a house nut. Especially Vics and these have a feeling of that era. -
Shoot! Maybe she should have hung it on the wall as a headboard for the child's bed. -
now THAT's a great idea BeckyH! and I too would have the houses showing behind the books. Or, she can just paint more houses on the front :) either way, cute cute cute! -
Oh, oh, oh! I love the headboard idea Becky H! -
@Becky H....I LOVE THAT IDEA!!! Wow...next treasure I find I'm calling You... -
All of you would have thought of that on your own............;-) -
I agree, I would have kept the houses visable no matter where I put this piece! -
Well you might be right on that Becky. I know all bed sizes in my head and the first thing I would have done was measure the fire screen. If it came close to a headboard size I could have thought of that too. BUT, you're the one that did so here. None of us did. First thought WINS! LOL -
Becky..........LOL!! -
Wow. Nice. I'm blown away by this. How did you come up with the idea/
