Fabric Samples for the Chair

I would love to use a check pattern to upholster my recliner. I have two samples of fabric that are really great, but not sure. To see more of my ideas go to

@Becky, You're always so practical in your advise! I Love that!!!! I'd have asked which one she liked better...LOL personally, I like the smaller print...

@ Sharron, I like the smaller one the best too. Though any check is a favorite fabric pattern, the smaller seems a better scale for this chair, though I can see the large working well too for a bolder look I'm not sure how well it would work over the smaller areas of the chair. Not much of the pattern would show on the wings for instance.

@Becky, Yeah I actually might go for a mix...Maybe the small checks on the body and the really tiny checks on the cushion and maybe the wings...

Ok, so here's my "professional 2 cents worth". Strictly from the standpoint of durability, the larger check which is the heavy duty chenille, would give you longer wear, BUT I think the scale of the smaller check would work better for this chair. As Becky pointed out as well. I would also carry the same fabric over to the seat cushion of the wicker chair and then use the larger check as a lumbar pillow in your recliner and maybe a couple more TP's for the sofa.

@Susan, How'd you know about the other stuff in the room? I can't see any of that stuff in the photo....

OK Finally it let me view the link....Honestly, I think while I was at it I might paint the wicker chair a darker color to come closer to the color of the leather chair...AND use the small check to make a cushion for it...

Oh good you got my message Sharron. IE and ads can really slow down your surfing. Oh are there any ads on Hometalk? Since I have Adblock Plus I don't see any.

@Becky...I don't see any ads on Hometalk but Xfinity is EATEN UP WITH THEM, I hate the service...I can NEVER get my "on demand" to work...and so on...

Marty, I love them both!! I have really been drawn to larger patterns lately, so my vote would be for the larger one.

Thanks Sharron. I had to Google Xfinity. I hadn't heard of that before.

Yoo Hoo Marty! Have you decided which fabric to use yet?
