Vintage Brunch

Did you ever wonder what to do with mis-matched china? Those odd pieces left from broken sets or favorite one-offs you found at a flea market?
This setting made its first appearance in June, as my very first blog post, but I’ve added a lot more photos. It was my table setting for Mother’s Day and hinged on the concept of mis-matched vintage china in a range of feminine pinks.
The floral arrangements included my beloved peonies, along with blush roses and delightful lilacs. They were displayed in floral china pitchers while varied candlesticks lit the scene.
At the center of the table I placed French macarons in my color palette, along with draped pearls and a cameo. The place cards I made to match the delicate flowers found on the china to wish the guests a Happy Mother’s Day.
Each setting presented a new surprise, as no two were alike. Bejeweled napkin rings are from Pier 1.
You can see the mix of varied patterns, unified mainly by their adherence to the floral theme and a general spirit of a garden toned color story. For more photos and details, see the blog.
