recycled Pallets

I just saw this on Facebook and wish I had a source to this many pallets. Wow. Is this awesome or what. I would have to stabilize it much more then it is but it is such a great idea. Still waiting for holes for 4x4's for my recycled french door green house. Hope to get it done before winter sets in.

Well, my husband got me on to a good start and picked up 4 pallets. So thats a beginning. I absolutely won't be doing anything this big but its hard to imagine that you could actually build a whole barn from pallets. Hum...

Here's another tip for you....Most Shoprite's, or major Grocery Supermarkets, throw away countless of pallets every couple of days, they usually throw them right by the dumpsters. I'm sure if you speak with a manager, I can't see why they would give you a problem about taking them, especially if they are throwing them away. Another good tip that I haven't tried yet, (But I'm going to bc I've seen such cute pallet craft ideas on here that I would like to do), but just recently read in a ...»
gardening magazine that if you go to Any lumber yard, because they have hundreds, they would be more than happy to dispose and give them to you for free! It's worth a shot, nothing to lose to try!

Home Improvement stores toss them out too. I get some great ones at the one near my home. Right now we are building a small porch for the trailer we use for visiting relitives and friends.

Well, I am so grateful to all the great suggestions and maybe others can truly benefit from them but we are really in a rural and touristy community and don't have a lot of those sort of stores. We did how ever have a newspaper company and we have two box stores like Walmart and Fred Meyers but I will keep those in mind when I am in the valley where they have those stores. Hopefully I will be able to get what I need from the newspaper as they are close to my husbands work. ...»

Jan, good thing hubby's boss stretched his lips into a huge smile, laughing as he did; now his foot will fit more comfortably in his mouth. 8-)

LOL, Yep, bet he doesn't question my motives any more. heheh, He already knows that I am a wacko anyways. I don't think though, that he really thought I was going to build a barn. hehehe

Wait until he sees that barn! He won't be laughing then. Well maybe if he's a really good guy he'll laugh at himself.

Sharron, I seem to have lost my "shock" factor. When I removed the drywall around our A/C intake and replaced it with a better fit, my husband told me, "Nothing you do around here shocks me anymore." Gee, that took some of the fun right out of it.
