The Catio
We don't want to let our new kittens out into the scary world but do want them to get fresh air and a change of scenery whenever they want. To provide them with what they want while still keeping them safe, I designed a catio.
It has several layers of fun which they can access through circles cut in each level.
Here's Teddy about to jump into his new hammock. They especially love being out there at dusk when the light attracts bugs.
They also have a view of the chicken yard and the area they get to free range some days. The cats seem to love lying out there watching the chickens, wild birds, squirrels and whatever else turns up in our yard.

Well shucks! That purdier than new born baby bear cub! assuming this is a permanent fixture to the house, those gaps along the sides, I would seal them up tight to keep out the bugs...but that's just me. that is one fancy kitty hangout! -)
