Kitchen cupboards

I think I bought the wrong paint to do them over. That's when I started having problems.I went to the paint store and was told that they now have kits to redo them. I am thinking of doing that. What kind of trim work? Trying to make them stylish. Thanks so much everyone, you all have great suggestions.

They do sell super expensive kits to redo cabinets...I don't know what paint you used but I used good ole latex and it worked great...just light sand first and clean with tsp if u suspect any grease or grime hiding in the wood, and seal with poly when you are done. Use calking to fill dings and gaps and joints between cabinet boxes before last paint coat. You won't regret it!

@I Play Outside The Box I never heard of that paint will have to check it out. For now everything is done, just have to assemble the hinges and doors.

So sorry you are having a problem. This is why I put off painting my cabinets. We did not have the time with 2 kids and both of us working...Hubs traveling 4 days a week and then before I knew it, I was too darn old! HA! And now I just don't want to! P.S. GOOD LUCK. Let us know how things turn out for you.

I did my daughters cabinets with the cabinet kit, the paint goes a long way and well worth the money spent. We did an expresso colour and changed the handles to brushed nickel they look like brand new cabinets. We also used the same kit in white on the baseboards and doors, amazing to apply, easy and no pre-sanding. It's been two years and looks as good as when it was first done.

I finally bit the bullet and bought a paint sprayer. I bought a Wagner and I could not be happier, The finish came out beautiful. It has taken many months, but that was because of re-do's and having the "I don't want to mess with this right now" attitude. The drawers are done, will put the doors on this week. I need to also put up some base molding in one area of the bathroom that was messed up when the floor went in.
