Memory foam mats

So I'm guessing a lot of you know about these, but in case anyone else is late to the party, I want to rave about memory foam mats. I just found out about these when I stood on one to shave and such at my aunt-in-law's house last week. They are soft and squishy and really pretty nice. And for cozy warm comfort, they sure beat tile or even hardwood floors. ...»

And they are cheaper than you might think. You can find them for $10 to $15.

I'm a pretty simple guy who doesn't need a lot of cushy comforts, but I think these would provide a serious quality-of-life upgrade. Not even as much for the bathroom, as I don't spend as much time in there, but I would really appreciate one at the kitchen sink and one in the nursery in front of the changing table when baby #2 comes along. #KeepingCozy

Re-doing my bedroom, need help finding a sleep+study loft bed for a good price, any ideas?

I am 17 and i live in my childhood bedroom with mermaids and flowers on the walls, and its time for me to change all of that. I have a small room that's only 13'7"X9'9" and it is ...»
completely engulfed in furniture. so to give myself more space i have decided i wanted to buy/build a bed like the one on PBteen http://www.pbteen.com/products/girls-sleep-a...

it will give me so much more room for friends to come over and watch a movie and stuff and since i will be going to a university in 2 years i'll need a lot of space to work on projects. so the PBteen one is way way way out of my price range (I'm 17, i'm not made of money) does anyone know where i can either puchase one really cheap, or i can find a plan for it so i can build it myself? Thanks!! :)

If you know someone handy with wood, they may be able to build you one. My husband built two ...»
of them for sons that were in small bedrooms and they could set their desk under the bed.

Be sure the mold isn't coming from underneath the wall. This is frequently the way mold grows ...»
so just spraying and having it momentarily disappear may not solve the health issue involved. Also there are different types of mold and some are more dangerous than others. You could call local health department about that.

Outdoor Living: Need opinions on Ivy filled beds

I have this large bed at the front of my house. Its filled with ivy. I kind of liked that when I first moved in here last summer but over the fall and winter it has kind of become an ...»
eyesore. Im wondering if i should get rid of it and replace with some low shrubs and other plantings or keep it and clean it up. It gets very little sun during the summer because of the trees above so that will limit me on what I can replace it with. I seem to keep coming up with reasons to get rid of it but I actually like the look of ivy so im kind of torn about this.

My pros for it are:

-its kind of good looking as long as its clean.

-its green and full all year round

-grows fast and covers the ground good

My cons for it are:

-full of leaves from above trees

-seedlings keep popping up

-constantly have to trim it

-harbors bugs and other critters right up against the house

Check out my pics below and let me know what you think.

Thanks!

I like the counter tops but I agree about the backsplash looking too busy. We are in the ...»
process of updating our kitchen and have brought back samples to try to coordinate and have found that the tile like this just is too busy to go with our granite. I thought I'd love that look and am afraid now it will be trendy and in another 5 years buyers will say it is "outdated". Who know. The over all look here is great.
