  • -Mosaics: Whether done in glass, porcelain, ceramic or stone, mosaics add great visual interest and a high-end look to any kitchen. 6
  • -Simple Steel: Stainless Steel Tiles make an elegant statement in a classic or contemporary kitchen 6
  • -Glass: Crackled or curved, glass tiles are simply stunning. The variation inherent in their creation lends the appeal that many find in natural stone. Glass is a great option for additional colors, or something a little more modern than stone. 5

Design & Décor: What color backsplash shoud I go with?

We have cherry cabinets and dark countertops, what color would look best for the backsplash? We will be using tile of some sort, but after going this far with this kitchen redo, I don't want ordinary tile.

  • Picture showing how the scarves are entertaining/distracting the eyes in order for one not to notice the two different widths between the headboard and the mattress. If one looks closely, one could very well see the big difference in both of the widths 8
  • Possibly a better picture for viewing the work of the scarves. 2
  • The scarves on a slight angle for another view. 3

Scarves Over my Bed Headboard for an Optical Illusion in Sizing

When we bought our bedroom set, we bought the headboard and mattresses in a QUEEN SIZE. Many, many years later we decided to changed our mattresses to a KING SIZE. Me in love (still) ...»
with my headboard, not being financially able to change it, and not wanting to damage my own, I decided to work with what I had using scarves. This is what I did with the scarves in order to conceal the extra inches of the mattresses from the left and right sides of the HB. What do you think about the idea?
