Laundry Room makeover for under $500.00

Other than the appliances, this room came together for under $500.00 using discontinued tiles, stock laminate, scrap melamine, and doors from Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

Figure at least 20% over your budget now. If you do better that is great. But on new homes ...»
that are custom or semi-custom these overages are not all that uncommon.

Faux Iron Gate made from Toilet Paper Tubes!

A great way to recycle and decorate at the same time! Strips of toilet paper tubes are quilled by rolling them around the end of a paint brush.

Outdoor Living: Paving Project: I was thinking a beautiful project would be tearing out the old concrete patio in my backyard and

putting in a paver patio with steps and a small wall around it on one end. Would this be a do-able DIY or would it be easier to hire a company to do it?

Cleaning & Organization: Does Wet & Forget work?

I recently used Wet & Forget on some wood siding and haven't seen results, yet. I sprayed it on the house about a month ago and wanted to see if I should give it more time or do a second spraying. Thanks for your help. BTW, based on everyone's response I wanted to post before & after pics either here or on my sight (www.homerepairtutor.com).

I am stuck! I can't decide if we should lay our back splash tile off set or straight set. Every day I seem to change my mind. What do you think? For the full post and more pictures ...»
